J.K. Dobbins is listed as questionable for Week 1. On Aug. 29, head coach John Harbaugh spoke about Dobbins’s availability, and his comments did not inspire further confidence.

“And J.K. [Dobbins], if J.K. can go out right now, that would be great,” Harbaugh said. “I would be excited. He had a good practice today. If not, we have the guys that will play. So, we’re good either way.”

Furthermore, Gus Edwards is on the PUP list, and he will miss the first four weeks of the season.

If Dobbins cannot play, Mike Davis will lead the Ravens’ backfield. The Ravens had the third-most rushing attempts in the NFL in 2021.

Davis should have extra value in PPR leagues. He has been a prolific receiver out of the backfield. In 2020, he had 59 receptions for the Carolina Panthers. In 2021, he had 44 receptions for the Atlanta Falcons.

The Jets gave up the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs last season, so Davis could be in store for a big Week 1 performance.

Fantasy owners should monitor the status of Dobbins throughout the week. If Dobbins is out, Davis should be locked in as an RB2.
