Geoff Collins is not for long leading that ole Ramblin’ Wreck of Georgia Tech
While the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are coming off their first win of the season, which was over the Western Carolina Catamounts. The Ramblin’ Wreck were embarrassed on Labor Day night vs. cross-divisional rival Clemson. As far as Geoff Collins is concerned, he is living on borrowed time being the Yellow Jackets head coach. How much money will it take to get Coach Prime to Atlanta?
If you are looking at potential remaining wins on the schedule for Georgia Tech, the Duke date on Oct. 8 is probably your best bet. Maybe they clip either Virginia school being manned by a first-year head coach? Ultimately, we are probably in for yet another 3-9 season under Collins down on The Flats. Georgia Tech does not have to be this bad. This is a proud program with a rich history.
The Jackets play in the college football capital of the world, yet they keep getting lapped big time.
Neal Brown lost the Backyard Brawl to Pitt and then to Kansas back-to-back
Although he was facing some pressure entering this season, Neal Brown’s seat at West Virginia went from warm to boiling very quickly. Not only did WVU lose to Pitt in the return of the Backyard Brawl, but they lost their home opener to Kansas. While Lance Leipold is an incredible coach, Brown was thought to be that when the got the gig in Morgantown after his great run at Troy.
West Virginia should get its first win of the season this weekend over Towson. If they can beat regional rival Virginia Tech to close out non-conference play to be 2-2 on the year, the pressure might be alleviated. However, the ‘Eers are quickly becoming the worst team in the Big 12. That was Kansas’ honor for years, but things change. West Virginia is about to be left in the dust, sadly.
JT Daniels went from never losing a game at Georgia to starting his WVU career with an 0-2 mark.
