After Dak Prescott suffered a broken hand against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Skip Bayless threw Prescott’s jersey away in disgust.

If you are new to sports and sports broadcasting, please be aware that Fox Sports 1 analyst Skip Bayless is a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Like most Cowboys fans, Bayless was without question upset and disgusted at the 19-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bayless even threw Dak Prescott’s jersey aside and threw on a Tom Brady jersey, abandoning Dallas along the way.

In fairness, Bayless has backed Brady many times from his colleagues at the network, including Shannon Sharpe. But if indeed Bayless is a Cowboys fan, this isn’t exactly the right move to follow through with, even if you are conflicted about who to root for in a game.

Skip Bayless abandoned his fandom for the Cowboys after Dak Prescott injury

Here’s the hilarious part. On Monday’s episode of Undisputed, it turns out that he is not abandoning his team and goes so far as to have their back. Maybe a good night’s sleep was all that was needed? Or was it false optimism?

Given how the Cowboys looked on Sunday night, scoring a field goal on their first drive and not even getting close after that? That’s not exactly a reason to have hope; losing Prescott only adds to the misery.

Whatever it is, Bayless knows the obvious. Prescott will be out for a while, putting more pressure on an already suspect Cowboys offense. The inability to run the ball effectively against Tampa Bay, combined with not capitalizing on the rare mistakes made by Tom Brady and his friends, is alarming. The schedule isn’t any easier with Cincinnati and the Giants up next.

Maybe if the Cowboys get back to winning a couple of games, Skip Bayless will jump aboard the saddle once more. Until then, it looks like he has abandoned America’s Team for good.
