Tampa Bay Buccaneers are putting Tom Brady’s health at risk
Despite beating the Dallas Cowboys, injuries along the offensive side of the ball of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are becoming more and more of a threat to Tom Brady’s health.
Despite beating the Dallas Cowboys, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and quarterback Tom Brady are in for a rough stretch, mostly due to their health, .
The Buccaneers saw Chris Godwin limp off the field with a hamstring injury and Donovan Smith leave the game with an elbow injury, causing more concern for the offensive line. Playing a suspect Dallas offense helped, but the road isn’t getting easier for Tampa Bay.
They get New Orleans next week and a Super Bowl rematch with Kansas City two weeks later. If memory serves, both teams are tough on the defensive line, and the Buccaneers have concerns among the offensive line. That’s a concern for Brady.
Brady saw what good offensive line play could do for a quarterback. Moreover, the Buccaneers feasted on poor offensive line play when they won the big one over Patrick Mahomes and Co. a few years ago. In other words, a win is a win, but there is much to be concerned about.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers are risking Tom Brady’s health this season
New Orleans, Green Bay, and Kansas City. Those are the three teams that Tampa Bay is about to face over the next three weeks. That’s not an easy schedule, and it’s going to test 45-year-old Tom Brady. But, he has been through this before. After all, playing in New England has helped.
But the past is the past. This could very well be his final season, based on what many have said. Brady still has last year’s playoff loss on his mind, and all the offseason drama has been noise he just wants to shut out. The best way to do that is to win and stay healthy.
It’s not going to be an easy stretch, but if Todd Bowles can do what he did on Sunday Night and take control of the line of scrimmage, there should be no reason to panic. But then again, this is Tom Brady.
Anything good gets a shrug, and the opposite gets a panic attack. Such is the life of being a seven-time Super Bowl champion.
