WR1: Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($6,800)

Mike Evans looked like Tom Brady’s favorite target on Sunday night, catching 5-of-7 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown. With Chris Godwin sustaining yet another injury, it looks like Evans will get even more volume until he returns. For that reason, we’re taking him as our WR1 in a matchup with New Orleans.

Usually tough on defense, New Orleans gave up a lot of offense last week to the Atlanta Falcons, which is encouraging for a Tampa Bay team that usually finds a way to get shut down by the Saints every time. Evans is a safe bet this week.

WR2: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions ($6,500)

Amon-Ra St. Brown picked right back up from his uncanny ending to the 2021 season, catching 8-of-12 targets for 64 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Looking like the unquestioned favorite for Jared Goff, St. Brown is a high-floor play this week.

I also love the matchup against Washington, who allowed a solid day for both Trevor Lawrence and Christian Kirk. St. Brown has a chance to repeat or even improve on his solid outing on Sunday. Even at a slightly higher price, he’s worth the play this week.

WR3: Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos ($5,600)

Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton both had seven targets from Russell Wilson in their Monday Night Football debut of the new-look offense. Regardless of what happened at the end of the game, the Denver offense looked plenty capable of sustaining two fantasy-relevant receivers.

Give me Jeudy at a lower cost this week, especially because he and Sutton are essentially both share No. 1 duties for this team. They draw the Texans this week, which is certainly a great matchup.
