Patrick Mahomes blasts ESPN for showing replays of graphic Texas Tech injury

Kansas City Chiefs star and former Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes criticized ESPN for replaying Red Raiders linebacker Bryce Martinez’s graphic injury.

The Texas Red Raiders have gone 2-0 to start the season, and they looked to remain undefeated with a victory over the No. 16 North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Early on in the game, the Red Raiders lost linebacker Bryce Ramirez to injury. When the Texas Tech defense looking to stop a run by running back Jordan Houston. In the process, Ramirez inadvertently got tackled in the left leg by his teammate, causing the leg to bend backwards awkwardly. The linebacker was later carted off the field and was wished well by both his teammates and NC State.

Patrick Mahomes sends well wishes to Bryce Ramirez, criticizes ESPN for replay of gruesome injury

Texas Tech alum and Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes sent his prayers to Ramriez. He also expressed his belief that networks stop showing gruesome injuries on a replay.

The replay was shown once, but still. It was graphic enough to not warrant a replay.

Entering the game, Ramirez had played in just one game this season, which came the week prior against the Houston Cougars. In that contest, Ramirez tallied three total tackles.

Prior to his injury, Ramirez recorded one total tackle against NC State.

We send positive vibes to Ramirez and hope that he has a speedy recovery.
