3. Aaron Rodgers owns Soldier Field, but Aaron Jones owned the Bears

For anyone interested, an Olympic sprinter tested the “Naruto run“, and the anime-style run was three percent slower than the sprinter’s usual running posture through limited tests.

Knowing that kind of makes it even better that Aaron Jones decided to lean forward in full ninja tilt and blast off through the endzone as he scored a touchdown agains the Bears.

Aaron Rodgers still owns the Bears. He did before Jones arrived in 2017, and he owns them at both Lambeau and Soldier Field.

But Sunday night, it was Green Bay’s other Aaron that was really owning Chicago, and Aaron Rodgers celebrated the healthy run game.

With Davante Adams gone and a young wide receiver core to work with, it only stood to reason that the Packers would lean heavy on their run game in 2022. This has included a mix of outside tosses and runs up the middle, and unfortunately for opposing defenses, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are used for both. And they’ve been doing both interchangeably.

Last week, it was Dillon who shone, but in Week 2, it was the Aaron Jones Show. Jones rushed for 132 yards on 15 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, while also logging three catches for 38 yards and a passing touchdown.

Rodgers pointed to Matt LaFleur on the sideline for calling a play that had Rodger toss to Jones, resulting in a touchdown. For anyone watching Green Bay football — especially in a Week 2 comeback that saw them reclaim the NFC North throne — we should all be thankful Green Bay has Aaron squared.
