5 best fantasy football matchups to exploit for Week 3
3. Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Commanders (vs. Philadelphia Eagles)
Antonio Gibson has been solid, and busy, as the Commanders’ lead back. Through two games, he has 37 total touches for 171 yards and a touchdown. He’s been a good option as the Commanders have been quietly putting up some big offensive numbers under new quarterback Carson Wentz.
While the Eagles have looked good thus far, their run defense is still a little suspect. Gibson’s safe workload and favorable matchup makes him a great option this week, especially if he can secure more of the passing game work from veteran J.D. McKissic, who had a better Week 2 with seven catches for 54 yards. If he can get the passing down work in what will likely be a close game, Gibson’s day may be even better — potentially in the top-15.
