1. David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears (vs. Houston Texans)

David Montgomery finally had his breakout performance last week, rushing 15 times for 122 yards — giving fantasy managers the game that they spent a high draft pick on him for. Right now, he’s about the only fantasy-relevant option in an abysmal Bears offense. His volume has been high too, averaging 16 carries per game. Volume is king with running backs, and Montgomery has that going for him at the moment.

The Texans have been playing their hearts out through two games, but have not been good against the run, allowing 189.5 yards per game, which is the second-most in the league. Montgomery should continue building off of his hot Week 2 in this game, and should be treated as a high-end RB2/low-end RB1.
