On Thursday night, Justin Hebert targeted Everett ten times!

Everett finished the game with six receptions for 71 yards. Unfortunately, his most notable play of the game was a crucial mistake. On first and goal, Everett motioned to the sideline to take him out of the game. He was left in, and on the next play, he was targeted. Everett did not fight for the football, and the pass was intercepted. Following the interception, Everett showed no interest in tackling the defender, either.

It’s hard to place all the blame on Everett for that sequence. The Chargers coaching staff holds responsibility, as well. Hopefully, it does not alter his workload moving forward.

Despite that concern, Everett has appeal in fantasy football leagues. It is hard to find production from the tight end position if you did not draft one early. As of Monday morning, Everett is fourth among tight ends in fantasy points this season.

This is not a sudden breakout for Everett, either. Last season, he had a strong final stretch with the Seattle Seahawks. From Week 10 to Week 18, he was eighth among tight ends in fantasy points.

Moving forward, he is a low-end TE1. This week, he will have a favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
