Watch Joey Votto prove to be the absolute best at Reds stadium greeting fans

Joey Votto won’t suit up for the Reds again this season, but the star is still the unquestioned best as he made fans’ nights in the stadium.

Though some fans of NL Central rivals might not be the biggest fans, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t like Cincinnati Reds veteran star Joey Votto. Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing any more of him on the diamond in the 2022 season after he underwent surgery to repair his left rotator cuff and bicep.

But that hasn’t stopped him from still showing up and repping his team. More importantly, it hasn’t stopped him from being one of the top-tier guys in baseball and proving why he’s a fan favorite and has been for years.

Votto was in attendance for Wednesday night’s Reds-Red Sox matchup and looking quite good as he sported a signed Barry Larkin jersey. When we say in attendance, though, we don’t mean int he dugout watching — he was getting the full fan experience while also giving other fans the experience of a lifetime.

Throughout the game, Votto was just walking around Great American Ballpark sitting in random seats, taking pictures with fans, and even giving fans mini tours of the Reds stadium as well. Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime moment for the fans in attendance.

If that doesn’t absolutely warm your heart, I’m not sure what will.

Whether it was young fans, older fans or fans that fall in the middle of those categories, Votto was just out to try and make their night at the ballpark an unforgettable one. Mission accomplished, to say the least.

And if that wasn’t good enough, there might’ve been some karmic output from Votto’s exploits as the Reds also picked up a convincing 5-1 win over Boston on Wednesday night. Maybe the veteran will have to make this a regular thing for as long as he’s sidelined with the injury. If nothing else, the fans would certainly love that in Cincinnati.
