Brock Bowers deserves the Heisman Trophy even if he doesn’t win it

University of Georgia tight end Brock Bowers is bringing the heat to the Bulldogs with an incredible 75-yard touchdown.
Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers proved to be unstoppable yet after running off for 75 yards untouched and scoring a touchdown with ease on the first play of the game against Kent State.
And that was just the start of a huge day, despite a subpar overall performance from the Dawgs.
The all-world tight end had two rushes in the game, both of which went for touchdowns and 77 yards on the ground to go along with a five-reception, 60-yard performance as well.
Bowers immediately stood out since joining the team, earning SEC’s Freshman of the Year in 2021 after helping bring the team to a national championship win.
Bowers’ success was no surprise. He was a four-star recruit and the third-ranked tight end in his class, so he was expected to be great right out of high school.
He’s also been in conversation for a Heisman Trophy for this season by several other fans and analysts.

College football analyst Greg McElroy is one of many who believes Bowers should get a Heisman Trophy. McElroy Tweeted, “If the Heisman wasn’t (basically) a QB Award and actually went to the “Most Outstanding Football Player in America,” Brock Bowers might actually get some consideration. But since he plays the wrong position, he probably won’t. Oh well.”
Bowers has also set UGA records, including single-season receiving (791) and touchdowns (11) by a tight end. He also set an SEC Championship game record for a tight end of 10 passes against Alabama in 2021.
He’s having a great start to his career, and he’s just getting started.
