Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had beer thrown at him by a fan as he walked off FedEx Field.
The Philadelphia Eagles‘ strong start to the 2022 season has continued, as they picked up their first divisional matchup of the year. The Eagles faced off against the rival Washington Commanders, where the defense pummeled quarterback Carson Wentz and quarterback Jalen Hurts torched the secondary to pick up the 24-8 victory.
After the game, Hurts celebrated as he walked off the field. As he walked into the tunnel, someone threw a beer can at him — a beer can that still had liquid in it. Take a look at the two angles provided by John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia and Pat Gallen of CBS 3 Philadelphia.

Sadly, it’s yet another case of fans not knowing how to act in public. Do not throw stuff at players. It’s amazing that this has to keep getting repeated time and time again.
Back to the game, it was all Eagles. In the first half alone, Philadelphia’s defense completely shut down Washington’s offense. In fact, Wentz completed just three passes for 24 yards, and was sacked six times.
Hurts continued to make his case as an NFL MVP candidate. In the second quarter, Hurts threw touchdown passes to tight end Dallas Goedert, and wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to give the team a 24-0 lead entering halftime.
In the game, he completed 22 passes for 340 yards and three touchdowns on 35 attempts.
Meanwhile, Wentz was sacked a total of nine times for a loss of 58 yards. He threw for 211 yards while completing 58.1-percent of his passes (25-of-43).
Next week, Hurts and the Eagles look to go 4-0 with a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
