4. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 4 – Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff

Break up the Lions! Don’t look now, but Detroit has quietly become one of the NFL’s most exciting offenses, averaging 31.7 points per game over the first three weeks of the season and scoring at least one touchdown in their first 11 quarters of the year.

This development has led to the re-emergence of Jared Goff as a potential fantasy starter at quarterback. Goff threw for 277 yards with a touchdown and an interception this week but is just one week removed from a four-touchdown effort in a victory over the Washington Commanders.

Detroit has an innovative play caller in Ben Johnson and plenty of weaponry for Goff to work with, including running back D’Andre Swift, wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and D.J. Chark, and tight end T.J. Hockenson. The healthy return of first-round pick Jameson Williams later this season should also offer more incentive for the Lions to pass, making Goff an intriguing streaming option right now.

Goff is rostered in just 45 percent of Yahoo leagues but was a fantasy starter for several years when he led the Los Angeles Rams offense under Sean McVay. Reaching those heights again may not be possible but Goff should be rostered as a preferred streaming option depending on his matchup.
