These three teams ended up on the losing end in Week 5 of the college football season, and should not be in the AP Top 25 for the rest of the year.

Every week college football fans watch the games and take their guesses as to who will remain in the AP Top 25 rankings, and who will fall out.

In Week 5, there were not as many upsets as there were to start the season. However, there were some losses from teams that proved that they should never make it into the AP Top 25 rankings ever again.

Here are three teams that should never touch the rankings for the rest of the season:

3. Oklahoma Sooners

Remember when the Oklahoma Sooners were seemingly in good shape through the first three weeks of the season? Yeah, those were some fun times, but they are long gone.

In Week 4, Oklahoma suffered their first loss of the season, falling to the Kansas State Wildcats. They had the chance to bounce back with a win over the TCU Horned Frogs. That did not happen. In fact, the game was over by halftime.

The Horned Frogs cruised to a 55-24 victory over Oklahoma. The offense scored 41 points and gained 479 yards of offense in the first half. That offense was coached by offensive coordinator Garrett Riley, younger brother of former Sooners head coach Lincoln Riley.

Oklahoma’s defense has not improved under new head coach Brent Venables, and it has resulted in the team going on a two-game skid. Things will not get easier for Oklahoma, as they take on the Texas Longhorns in Week 6, and then the undefeated Kansas Jayhawks in Week 7.
