Pittsburgh Steelers fans lost it after rookie Kenny Pickett finally made entered at quarterback in Week 4.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans have not been pleased with how the offense looked through the first three games of the season. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky did not exactly inspire confidence in the Steelers fanbase. Neither has the play calling of offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

But with the team trailing 10-6 at halftime, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin decided that he has seen enough from Trubisky, and he called upon rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett to make his NFL debut.

Steelers fans absolutely lost it over the 20th-overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft making his first appearance in a regular-season game.

Let’s take a look at how the nation reacted to the news of Trubisky getting benched.

Do you want to know how badly Steelers fans wanted to the team to give Pickett a shot? Well, those at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh gave the rookie a standing ovation.

Pickett did some handoffs and a quarterback sneak in his first couple of plays, but he attempted his first NFL pass. It was a deep shot, but wide receiver Chase Claypool could not secure it. The football bounced off the wideout’s hands, and it was intercepted by Jets safety Jordan Whitehead.

But one drive later, Pickett scored his first NFL touchdown, a goal-line quarterback sneak, to give the team a 13-10 lead.

The time has finally arrived, Steelers fans. Pickett time.
