A Texas A&M fan called into the Paul Finebaum Show to threaten Jimbo Fisher about a hitman costing less than his contract.
Fandom can be a wild thing and college football fans get crazy with the best of them. But where is the line between passionate and unhinged?
One Texas A&M fan figured out exactly how to cross it this week when he called into the Paul Finebaum to let his feelings about head coach Jimbo Fisher out before a radio audience.
“As far as Jimbo’s contract, that $90 million contract, a hitman costs a lot less than that,” Roger from Texas said.
Here's the clip of a Texas A&M fan telling @finebaum that a hit man is a lot cheaper than Jimbo Fisher's buyout. 😳

The stunned silence on the show pretty much speaks for itself. What an insane thing to say about a football coach. What an insane thing to say about anyone actually.
Sure, the guy could have been making a dark joke but this is college football and death threats get thrown around too often for a joke like that to get laughed off.
There are 90 million ways that fan could have made it clear that he wants Fisher gone from A&M without going there.
Fisher is under fire because of his underperforming team. The Aggies brought in the No. 1 recruiting class in the country for 2022 but the momentum on the recruiting trail hasn’t yet translated onto the field.
An upset loss to Appalachian State in their first game against a non-FCS opponent was the first eye-opener. Ugly wins over Miami and Arkansas followed. Both of those teams already have too losses this season. An 18-point loss to Mississippi State last Saturday piled on the pressure.
Fisher’s buyout is simply too high for him to be seriously concerned about losing his job but the weekend’s matchup with Alabama threatens to turn up the heat.
No matter how bad it gets, that’s still no reason to bring hitmen into the conversation.
