2.. player. Scouting Report. Indianapolis Colts. Matt Ryan. 46. Pick Analysis. QB

It is hard to not look at the Week 5 edition of Thursday Night Football which was an abomination to watch and not list one of the quarterbacks in the Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos game. Most of that is due to the team’s quarterbacks struggling to get anything going. From ineffective offensive lines to throwing multiple interceptions.

When it comes to who should be benched, let’s face it, Russell Wilson is not getting benched by the Denver Broncos. He is dealing with a torn lat muscle, and was given a $245 million contract extension this offseason. For this list, it will be Matt Ryan.

The former Atlanta Falcon was pressured all night by Denver’s defense, as he was sacked six times for a loss of 51 yards. He was hit by a defender 12 times. He threw two brutal interceptions. Yet, the Colts defense helped him find a way to win 12-9 in overtime.

In the game, Ryan completed 26-of-41 pass attempts for 251 yards. On the year, Ryan has now thrown for 1,376 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 65.6-percent of his passes.

If the Colts continue to lose, it may be time for a quarterback change. Let’s be real, if the team continues to lose, head coach Frank Reich’s seat only gets hotter, and it could inspire him to make a change. Either to make the switch to Nick Foles, who Reich coached during their Super Bowl 52 run with the Philadelphia Eagles, or to former Texas Longhorn Sam Ehlinger.
