The Dallas Cowboys do not lose with Cooper Rush starting at quarterback. That stands true after they defeated the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5.
The Dallas Cowboys went from “season being over” to “playoff contenders” in the span of four weeks. After losing quarterback Dak Prescott to a right thumb fracture, all the Cowboys have done is win with Cooper Rush starting in place. They defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders in consecutive weeks. Perhaps their biggest win of the season arrived in Week 5.
Facing the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams, the Cowboys picked up a 22-10 victory to improve their record to 4-1 on the year. Just like everyone expected following their Week 1 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Twitter users shared their thoughts to the Cowboys convincingly defeating the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The Cowboys defense is allowing 14.4 points/game. They’ve allowed just five touchdowns all year—exactly one in each game. Wow.

On Los Angeles’ following drive, they ad their punt blocked, which the Cowboys up iat Los Angeles’ 20-yard line. Dallas then took a 9-0 lead on a 33-yard field goal by Brett Maher.
The Rams would take a 10-9 lead later on in the second quarter after a 29-yard field goal by Matt Gay and a 75-yard touchdown pass from Stafford to star wide receiver Cooper Kupp. But, the Cowboys retook the lead three plays later on a 57-yard touchdown run by Tony Pollard. From there, the Cowboys held off the Rams and limited them to just 10 points in the entire game.
Rush attempted 16 passes in the whole game, completing 10 of them for 102 yards.
Dallas sacked Stafford five times in the game, with second-year outside linebacker Micah Parsons accounting for two of them.
Now, Dallas will prepare for a huge game in Week 6, as they take on the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football.
