Just one postseason loss has Dodgers fans slap-fighting in bathroom of Dodger Stadium
By Mark Powell
The Los Angeles Dodgers lost Game 2 to the San Diego Padres on Wednesday night, but that wasn’t the only dramatic result in the stadium.
A Clayton Kershaw start should’ve gone a long way in a potential Dodgers Game 2 victory, but Los Angeles emerged from five innings of Wednesday’s eventual defeat tied at three runs apiece with the Padres. San Diego would get to the Dodgers bullpen shortly thereafter.
As is often the case in this rivalry, Game 2 resulted in a conflict between fanbases, and unfortunately it was not a war of words. Yet — this fight wasn’t between LA and San Diego fans. It was between Los Angeles baseball fans who just so happened to be wearing different color jerseys.
All I see is hair and urinals!
Dodgers fans fight during Game 2
It’s tough to consider this a fight — I’ve seen worse brawls on the baseball diamond this year between players. Jose Bautista was not involved in the making of that film, because if he were, bodies would be hitting the floor.
Rather, this was a slap fight between two men who didn’t want to test their egos. Instead of your basic southpaw stance, or a righty going for the jab to the chin, these men tried to high five each other…but in the face.
No one wins. We’ll chalk it up as a loss to humanity, and the Dodgers fanbase as a whole. Be better, people. Why can’t we be friends?
