The smoke and mirrors have been removed, as these college football teams might be frauds.
Eventually, we were going to find out the truth about these marquee football teams this season.
Any time four top-10 teams lose in the same weekend, there are plenty of discussions to be had over why these losers were ranked so high to begin with. A lot of it may have to do with past reputation. Some of it may have to do with them not facing a worthy adversary up to that point. College football: 3 teams who might be frauds after suffering Week 7 defeats
Pick Analysis. (6-1). Alabama Crimson Tide. 3. 829. Scouting Report. SEC. player
The Alabama dynasty is not dead yet, but the Nick Saban era is on the back nine
Just because it isn’t dead yet doesn’t mean it isn’t dying. Although the Tennessee Volunteers have a fantastic team under second-year head coach Josh Heupel, this is not a Nick Saban Alabama Crimson Tide team we are accustomed to. While they did not have any issues putting up points on the Vols’ defense, Pete Golding’s side of the ball couldn’t stop a nosebleed, which is why they lost.
Alabama now has to win out to make the College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide will have to beat at least two ranked teams (Mississippi State, Ole Miss). In addition to the Mississippi schools, Alabama still has to play rivals LSU and Auburn, both of whom would love nothing more than to play Crimson Tide spoiler. After that, good luck beating either Georgia or Tennessee in Atlanta…
Their players are still talented, but the discipline is not there and the coaching has been suspect.
