Tennessee victory cigars against Alabama were supplied by unlikely source

Tennessee celebrated with victory cigars after shocking Alabama, but where they got them from is quite unusual yet gracious.

When images surfaced of Tennessee players smoking cigars after beating Alabama, you knew that whoever supplied them was excited.

However, it wasn’t Peyton Manning or any Tennessee alum who provided the cigars.

Rather, it was someone who represented an in-state rival who was excited enough to help celebrate the fun. Upsetting Bama is something so massive and seismic that it crosses party lines and brings foes together no matter how bizarre it may seem.

That someone we are referring to would happen to be former Vanderbilt quarterback Jay Cutler.

Cutler wanted Josh Heupel’s team to beat Bama, it seems. After all, Vanderbilt hasn’t beaten Alabama in football since 1984, which, coincidentally, was in Tuscaloosa. Guess it goes to show that the conference and the fans will unite in one way or another to celebrate a victory over the Crimson Tide, or, in this case, Nick Saban’s empire. It happened with Georgia last year in the national championship.

Jay Cutler forgoes rivalry to help Tennessee celebrate upset over Alabama

In his college career, Jay Cutler was an in-state rival, but now, at least for one night, he is willing to rock the orange and participate in the celebration, and he has every right to. The SEC has often been Alabama’s playground since Nick Saban arrived, and the Tennessee Volunteers are no exception.

It’s the first time the school had beaten Alabama since 2006–the year before Nick Saban took over in Tuscaloosa. Moreover, quarterback Hendon Hooker and wide receiver Jalin Hyatt firmly cemented their statuses as Tennessee legends with their remarkable performances.

We all unite for one common goal. In this case, it’s defeating Alabama. Rivals are willing to forgo their usual hatred and join hands with each other. In this case, a former Vanderbilt quarterback, Jay Cutler, united in the celebration with Tennessee by providing them a token of appreciation.
