The Houston Astros struck first in ALCS Game 2 with a massive three-run homer run in the third inning.

The Houston Astros struck first in the American League Championship Series, taking Game 1 from the New York Yankees by the score of 4-2. One day later, they jumped out to an early lead in Game 2, thanks to star third baseman Alex Bregman.

With Martin Maldonado on third base and Yordan Alvarez on first, Bregman hit a massive home run to the Crawford Boxes in left field of Minute Maid Park to give the Astros an early 3-0 lead.

Sure, the broadcast view is nice and all, but you want to see some alternate angles from Bregman’s huge homer. Take, for example, the angle of a Yankees fan watching and seeing the disappointment set in.

How about a still photo of Bregman’s home run?

How about a couple of angles from inside Minute Maid Park. One from Michael Shapiro of the Houston Chronicle, and the other from MLB’s official Twitter account.

Houston’s three-run lead did not last long, as the Yankees scored two runs in the top of the fourth inning.

Aaron Judge hit a single and Giancarlo Stanton reached on a fielding error by pitcher Framber Valdez. Judge reached home after a groundout by Anthony Rizzo. Gleyber Torres then hit a single to bring Stanton home to officially cut New York’s deficit to 3-2. Valdez got out of the jam by striking out Josh Donaldson and Kyle Higashioka in succession to end the inning and the Yankees comeback.

Luckily for the Astros, they had a run to work with, thanks in part to Bregman’s monster home run to left field.
