NFL Trades: 4 teams that should trade for Chase Claypool
By Josh Wilson
Chase Claypool trade destinations: Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys have the fifth-fewest receptions in the NFL. Obviously, part of that has to do with the fact that they’ve been without their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott since Week 2, but he’s returning and it would be nice if he had an elite receiver to throw to.
Dallas traded Amari Cooper this offseason and did what the Packers did with Davante Adams: Ignored the massive crater left in the roster.
CeeDee Lamb has over 400 yards, Noah Brown is closing in on 300. After that? No player on the roster has over 100 receiving yards. Oof.
Backup quarterback Cooper Rush has held down the ship admirably. It’s time for Prescott to take the reigns back and take the one-loss Cowboys to the postseason. Giving him a fresh, talented receiver as a gift to enter the latter stretch of the season would give him the necessary tools to do just that.
After completely failing to fortify the offensive line, it’s the least Jerry Jones can do for him.
