Yankees to blame: Aaron Boone

I mean, this one is obvious, no?

From sticking with Clarke Schmidt in Game 1, to his failed lineup changes in Game 2, to sticking with Josh Donaldson and Matt Carpenter in Game 3…this hasn’t been an optimal series for Aaron Boone.

The Yankees manager could be in his last few games with that job title, if only because change is necessary. New York will not reach its ultimate goal as currently constructed. Boone is a below-average managed. Brian Cashman’s moves, overall, aren’t cutting it. Hal Steinbrenner hasn’t supplied nearly enough resources for this team to contend with Houston.

Boone is the easiest out, and fans would be furious if he were to stay in the dugout for next season after a sweep or postseason defeat prior to the World Series.
