2. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 8 — Indianapolis Colts WR Parris Campbell

The unquestioned top receiver pickup of the week is Campbell, who has formed a wonderful connection with Matt Ryan in Indianapolis. Campbell was the offensive star of Indianapolis’ loss to the Tennessee Titans, catching 10-of-12 targets for 70 yards and a touchdown.

The target volume has absolutely exploded for Campbell over the past two weeks after he was targeted by Ryan 11 times in Week 6. One explosion in passing volume may be an aberration but a second consecutive week of heavy work from Campbell is a verifiable trend that fantasy owners need to attack.

There is some risk with targeting a Colts receiver since their preferred method of attack is to rely on Jonathan Taylor and the running game. Indianapolis has fallen behind each of the past two weeks, however, leading Ryan to look Campbell’s way early and often.

Campbell is rostered in just four percent of Yahoo leagues and is a strong flex play in PPR leagues. The Colts have a potential get right spot against the Washington Commanders in Week 8 so look for Campbell to post solid flex numbers even if he can’t find the end zone for a third consecutive week.
