Per Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, the Philadelphia Eagles have traded with the Chicago Bears to acquire Quinn. Quinn was reportedly traded for a fourth-round pick.

While the trade marks a sad moment for the Bears locker room — Quinn was voted a team captain, and teammate Roquan Smith broke down at the podium upon hearing the news — it also marks a new opportunity for Quinn. Now, the 32-year-old veteran has the chance to win a Super Bowl with the NFL’s last remaining undefeated team.

Drafted in 2011, Quinn has yet to play for a true Super Bowl contender. The year after he left the Los Angeles Rams, the team went to the Super Bowl and lost, winning the championship earlier this years. Short stints with the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys eventually led to his two-year tenure with the Bears.

In just a few short years, Quinn has become a leader for the Bears locker room and a pillar for the defense.

It’s a tough break for the Bears, although the team now gets a fourth-rounder and can focus on building for the future with a new general manager in Ryan Poles. It’s an incredible get for the Eagles, who apparently didn’t even have to drop much money on acquiring Quinn.

Now, Robert Quinn will suit up for the 6-0 Eagles, who are set to play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8. If Quinn plays, it’s bad news for Kenny Pickett, but great news for Philadelphia.
