2023 NFL Mock Draft: Could QBs go 1-2-3 in the first round?

player. 48. . RB. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bijan Robinson. 19

What a strange year it has been for Tom Brady, as he has had to deal with some terrible personal issues off the field, and some bad play on it. Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a tough draw in Week 8, taking on the Baltimore Ravens, but maybe a tough opponent is just what they need to get their season back on track.

When looking at their team needs, quarterback is going to be one if Brady does not return in 2023, but assuming he does, he needs help at running back. Bijan Robinson is the only running back I can see going in the first round, and in Tampa Bay, he becomes a weapon for an aging legend in Brady.

Detroit Lions. Cam Smith. 20. player. 50. . CB

The Detroit Lions may be one of the worst teams in the NFL once again, but their head coach, Dan Campbell, feels they are headed in the right direction. Whatever the case may be, the Lions do hold two first-round picks in 2023, this after trading away Matthew Stafford a few years ago.

After getting their franchise quarterback early in round one, the Lions turn their attention to the defense here, a unit that has been dreadful all season long. Cam Smith is a solid cornerback prospect, who could help this Lions team right away, as they look to claw their way out of the cellar in the NFC North once and for all.
