2023 NFL Mock Draft: Could QBs go 1-2-3 in the first round?

Washington Commanders. Michael Mayer. 15. player. 58. . TE

The Washington Commanders turned to Taylor Heinicke this past weekend against the Green Bay Packers, and miraculously, came away with the victory. While Heinicke may not be the long-term solution in Washington, he is a guy who goes out and gets wins, so maybe they should take another look at him.

Picking in the middle of the first round, I like the Commanders to shore up the tight end position, taking Notre Dame star, Michael Mayer. This is a kid who is going to dominate at the next level, as he can run, catch, and block, and should become a star in our Nation’s Capital.

. WR. Green Bay Packers. Quentin Johnston. 16. player. 49

What is going on in Green Bay? Over the past few weeks, Aaron Rodgers and company have lost to the likes of the New York Jets, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders, three teams that at the beginning of the year you would have put a W next to the Packers name when looking at the schedule.

Instead, the Packers are struggling, and maybe it is time for the franchise to go out and get Rodgers a first-round wide receiver. That is the pick in our latest mock draft, as Quentin Johnston becomes a Packer, and hopefully gets Rodgers to stay around for a few more seasons.
