Here is what Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur had to say to rookie linebacker Quay Walker after was ejected for shoving a Buffalo Bills player.
The Green Bay Packers were underdogs entering Sunday Night Football, as they took on the 5-1 Buffalo Bills on the road. Facing a team like the Bills, you can not make any mistakes. Unfortunately for rookie linebacker Quay Walker, he made an error that forced him to be ejected from the game altogether.
In the second quarter, Walker tackled running back James Cook out of bounds. When he got up, he shoved Bills practice squad tight end Zach Davidson, who was standing on the sidelines. He was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, and ultimately ejected from the game.

The NBC cameras caught head coach Matt LaFleur talking to Walker on the sidelines. By reading LaFleur’s lips, he tells Walker “it’s always the second guy, always.”
Cameras showed Walker walking to Green Bay’s visiting locker room at Highmark Stadium following his talk with LaFleur.
Green Bay’s middle inside linebacker depth took a hit against the Bills. Following Walker’s ejection, De’Vondre Campbell was spotted walking to the locker room with his right knee wrapped up. The team announced that he was questionable to return due to a knee injury.
The Packers trailed the Bills 24-7 at halftime.
Following Walker’s ejection, his head coach gave him the lesson of “it’s always the second guy.”
