2. Packers trade for Brandin Cooks

The Houston Texans have made it known that they are willing to trade Brandin Cooks for the right price, and the Packers are reportedly interested in him.

Although the nine-year veteran has had a bit of a slow start this season with the Texans, his track record shows that he is due to heat up. In seven games on the year, he has just one touchdown but also 32 receptions and 354 receiving yards. Could pairing up with Rodgers help him elevate his play? Absolutely.

Cooks is coming off back-to-back six-touchdown seasons where he had over 1,000 receiving yards in each of them. Therefore, he is a difference-maker whilst playing at his best, and a move to Green Bay could help him do just that.

The one risk in trading for Cooks, however, is that he is guaranteed $18 million for next season. That is a hefty chunk of change, but given the fact that he has the potential to help strengthen the Packers’ offense significantly, he should at least be on Gutekunst’s radar.
