Chicago Bears mock draft, round 2 via TRADE (BAL): Andrew Vorhees, OG, USC

Does the name Kevin Gogan ring a bell? If so, you are looking at a modern-day version without the other antics. Like Gogan, Vorhees is a big offensive lineman. At 6-6 and 325 pounds, Vorhees is a natural at the guard position, and with this pick, the Bears gain another option of flexibility.

Though Teven Jenkins has been a fixture at RG, the selection of Vorhees allows the team to move Braxton Jones to RT, have Broderick Jones at LT, and plug in Vorhees at LG, leaving the center position to be filled, with likely a big-time FA or veteran presence. It can’t be worse than Sam Mustipher.

The most vital part about Vorhees’s game is that he is a violent blocker, and he’s not afraid to maul defenders in both pass protection and run blocking. His most significant area of improvement is consistently staying balanced. If he can improve that, the Bears will have found yet another rock-solid piece for the front line to protect Justin Fields.
