The latest on Cowboys trade deadline: Every rumor, trade [UPDATED]
By Josh Wilson
Jerry Jones is talking a big game in advance of the NFL trade deadline. Is he for real, or just blowing smoke? We’ll find out in a matter of hours.
The Dallas Cowboys might not need to make a trade. That is, if they’re content with another playoff appearance that falls short of an NFC Championship. If they want to go all the way, it might be necessary to make a splash.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones knows that.
Dallas sits at 6-2 through eight weeks of the season, two games behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East and tied with the New York Giants for second place in the division. They’ve survived a multi-week Dak Prescott injury with Cooper Rush under center. They are holding teams to the third-fewest points and are fourth in points differential.
They’ve also survived a preseason injury to the offensive line and, despite some rough stats in average pocket time, have been able to come away with wins.
If they want to win when it matters most, though, the trade deadline will be important.
Here is the latest on every Cowboys rumor and confirmed trade. We will have this page updated as news comes out on trade deadline day, so keep it bookmarked and check back in for the latest.
