2. Kenyan Drake, Baltimore Ravens

Kenyan Drake has been a fairly up-and-down option since joining the Ravens a few weeks ago. One game he looks like the best running back on their roster, and the next week he’ll hardly see the field. With Gus Edwards nursing a hamstring injury, Drake may be relied upon heavier this week.

Edwards will likely be limited Monday night, and if he is (or if he’s out), Drake should see an expanded role. When given more touches, Drake has been a solid fantasy asset. Expect that to be the case in Week 9, as he’s a solid RB2 option.

1. Deon Jackson, Indianapolis Colts

Jonathan Taylor is going to miss yet another week this week with a nagging ankle injury, putting Deon Jackson in line to be the workhorse for the Colts. This was confirmed by Colts’ coach Frank Reich on Friday morning, saying Jackson needs to be ‘the guy’ this week.

Even against a tougher New England run defense, Jackson should be a mid-level RB2 based on volume alone. In his previous start for Taylor in Week 6, Jackson totaled 121 yards on 22 touches, adding a touchdown. He’s a solid start this week.
