MLS Cup Final: Los Angeles FC vs. Philadelphia Union live stream reddit and preview
The two best teams in MLS face off in the final on Saturday, Nov. 5. Here’s what you need to know to watch Los Angeles FC take on the Philadelphia Union in this year’s MLS Cup Final.
The MLS Cup Final will be a battle of No. 1 seeds when Los Angeles FC host the Philadelphia Union this Saturday in the league’s championship game. It will mark the first time both teams have reached the final.
LAFC reached the final on Sunday after defeating Austin FC 3-0. Hours later, the Philadelphia Union eliminated New York City FC, the defending league champions, 3-1 to set up the matchup against Los Angeles.
Los Angeles captured the Supporters’ Shield earlier this season, a title given to the MLS team with the best record. As a result, LAFC will host this year’s final.
There were fewer cross-conference games in MLS this season, but the schedule did ultimately feature a 2-2 draw this past May 7 between LAFC and Philadelphia.
The final will be hosted at Banc of California Stadium. The MLS Cup final, however, has been played in Los Angeles seven times before, including the famed Rose Bowl in 1998 and at Dignity Health Sports Park in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014.
