3. Aaron Rodgers — Green Bay Packers

Yes. For real. Aaron Rodgers has been the third-best quarterback in the NFC North so far this season.

There will be more to say about Jared Goff later but his 2-7 record and reputation compared to Rodgers is realistically the only reason to put the Lions quarterback here instead of Rodgers.

Their numbers at this point are almost identical. Both have 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Rodgers’ passer rating is lower at 89.0. The Green Bay QB has 50 more passing yards.

Neither team has a particularly outstanding wide receiver corps to work with but Rodgers has played with a more reliable defense and he’s still only managed one more victory than Goff.

Ultimately it comes down to Sunday’s matchup. Going head-to-head, one quarterback gave his team a chance to win and the other threw three red zone interceptions.

Maybe his injured thumb is the culprit of his struggles. Either way, fans are ready to bench him for Jordan Love until he’s healthy. That says everything.

Obviously, Rodgers’ legacy vastly overshadows Goff’s on the whole. This season though, Rodgers hasn’t come to play at the level befitting his salary and prestige.
