To say it’s been a rough year to date in the Steel City would be a massive understatement. For the first time since 2003, there is no Ben Roethlisberger on the roster and the issues on offense are numerous.

The season began with Mitch Trubisky behind center and he eventually gave way to rookie Kenny Pickett. The latter has thrown just two TD passes and committed nine turnovers. And a disappointing defensive unit is waiting for T.J. Watt to return.

3-6. Previous: . Green Bay Packers. 27. team. 49.

The slumping Packers took a four-game losing streak into the Motor City hoping to get back on the winning track. Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 291 yards and one score and the Green Bay offense came up with 389 total yards.

But the 2020 and 2021 NFL MVP served up three interceptions – two in the end zone. Matt LaFleur’s club was shut out in the first half. Rodgers wound up leading the team with 40 yards on the ground.

Detroit Lions. 26. team. 50. . 2-6. Previous:

The Lions were playing just their second divisional game of the season when they hosted rival Green Bay.

Detroit’s defense has been horrific all year but picked a good day to come up big. And pick is the key word when it comes to this contest as Dan Campbell’s club intercepted Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers three times – twice in the end zone. The Lions came into the game with just two interceptions and the team held off a late Packers’ drive.

3-6. Previous: . Jacksonville Jaguars. 25. team. 52.

This looked like one of the most improved clubs early in the season. But Jacksonville took a five-game losing streak into their meeting with the Raiders. It appeared the misery would continue as Doug Pederson’s club fell behind, 17-0, in the second quarter.

But the Jaguars narrowed the deficit to 10 points by intermission. And running back Travis Etienne finished with 109 yards rushing and two scores as the team blanked the Raiders in the second half.
