Raiders running back Josh Jacobs responded to fake reports that claimed he was arrested in Las Vegas.

When it comes to Twitter, sometimes rumors spread like wildfire. Those rumors could be bogus and untrue. That is exactly what happened on Tuesday night, and it came at the expense of one of the top players in the AFC West.

Two Twitter users claimed with the word “BREAKING” to start off their tweets that Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was “arrested.” These “reports” are unsubstantiated but spread nonetheless.

Jacobs caught wind of the tweets, sending out three tweets, asking “what’s going on” before saying that he hasn’t “even left the crib today,” complete with laughing emojis.

Jacobs let it be known what he thought of those rumors.

The fourth-year running back out of Alabama is in the final year of his rookie contract with the Raiders. This season, he has been one of the top players at his position. In Weeks 4, 5 and 7, Jacobs rushed for over 100 yards against the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, and Houston Texans respectively.

Entering Week 11, Jacobs recorded 743 rushing yards (fifth-most in NFL) and six rushing touchdowns (tied for fifth-most) on 138 attempts (sixth).

The Raiders currently sit at 2-6 on the season, underperforming expectations after the team made the playoffs last year. This past weekend, the Raiders blew a 17-point lead to the Jacksonville Jaguars, losing 27-20.
