Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence forced an early fumble on Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Week 10.
The Dallas Cowboys returned from a restful bye week to face a bitter NFC rival. Sitting at 6-2 entering Week 10, they traveled to Lambeau Field to take on a Green Bay Packers team on a five-game losing streak. It is no surprise that quarterback Aaron Rodgers has not had the most help on offense, whether that is receivers dropping passes or not having the best blocking. The latter of these issues would loom large in this particular matchup, considering he would face off against Dallas’ dominant pass rush.
In the second quarter, Rodgers knew that Sunday would not be his easiest game, as he was strip sacked by Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, allowing safety Jayron Kearse to recover.

Cowboys: DeMarcus Lawrence forces fumble on Aaron Rodgers early vs. Packers
Lawrence has lived up to his title of “sack master of the Dallas Cowboys” in his Twitter bio.
For the Cowboys, they were unable to get any points on the board as a result of the turnover. Three plays after the fumble, quarterback Dak Prescott’s pass intended for tight end Dalton Schultz was intercepted by safety Rudy Ford. Rodgers and the Packers capitalized on the turnover, as he connected with rookie wide receiver Christian Watson for a 58-yard touchdown to tie things up at 7-7.
Prescott threw another interception on the following drive, allowing the Packers to take a 14-13 lead three plays later on a 12-yard run by Aaron Jones.
Yet, the Cowboys tied things up just before halftime after Prescott hit Schultz in the end zone for a touchdown.
Even though Lawrence’s play didn’t result in immediate points, Cowboys fans were quick to point out that Lawrence’s performance was proving past doubters wrong.

He is the best player in this game for the Cowboys.
With that forced fumble in the second quarter, DeMarcus Lawrence (18) has the third-most forced fumbles in franchise history, trailing Greg Ellis (21) and DeMarcus Ware (32).

Lawrence was the only Cowboys defender to not just sack, but hit Rodgers in the first half. Before the game, Lawrence said that one has to be “extra prepared against Aaron Rodgers“, especially since Lawrence has yet to defeat the two-time NFL MVP.
