The struggling Lions’ defense came up with big play after big play in last week’s victory over the visiting Packers. And for the second straight week, Dan Campbell’s club came up big late. Down 24-10 with less than a quarter to play, Detroit outscored the Bears 21-6 in the fourth quarter.

Jeff Okudah returned a Justin Fields’ interception 20 yards for a score. And Jared Goff orchestrated an eight-play, 91-yard touchdown drive to take the lead for good.

58. . 5-5. Previous: . Washington Commanders. 17. team

The Commanders looked to bounce back from a tough home loss to the Vikings. They traveled to Philadelphia looking to avoid a fourth straight loss to the Eagles. But Ron Rivera’s club came up with a big effort in all aspects, especially when it came to dominating the Birds’ defense.

Washington had 49 running plays for 152 yards and stifled the NFC East leaders with numerous big plays as Rivera’s team handed the Eagles their first loss of 2022.

13. . 5-4. Previous: . Los Angeles Chargers. 16. team

The Bolts were hoping to make it five wins in their last six outings as they hit the road to battle the talented 49ers. Brandon Staley’s club owned a 10-point lead in the second quarter and took a 16-10 advantage into intermission.

But the Chargers were blanked in the second half and wound up with just 238 yards of total offense – including only 52 yards in the final two quarters. Los Angeles’ run defense wound up giving up 157 yards by night’s end.
