Aaron Rodgers caught the Titans defense napping at the end of the first quarter and made them pay for it with a touchdown pass to Christian Watson.
This may not be an MVP-level season for Aaron Rodgers, but he’s still got the ability of a wily veteran who knows how to punish a defense when they give him the chance.
With the seconds ticking down in the first quarter, it looked like the Titans defense expected the Packers to just let it tick down to the break. Instead, the quarterback got his offense to the line and snapped the ball with 12 defenders on the field for a free play.
Rodgers lofted a ball up for hotter-than-hot receiver Christian Watson and he proved he is “on fire” like NBA Jam by catching the contested pass for a score.

And here’s what Twitter had to say about it:
Aaron Rodgers catches the Titans with too many men on the field and finds Christian Watson for a tight window TD on the free play.

Rodgers had just a 21.9% chance of completing the pass, his 2nd-most improbable completion this season.#TENvsGB | Powered by @awscloud pic.twitter.com/ZJKkHFgqFi
Aaron Rodgers did what every team should always do at the end of the first and third quarters: Line up and see if you can catch the defense off guard. Don't just let the clock run out on the quarter. The Packers scored a touchdown because Rodgers outsmarted the Titans' defense.

Aaron Rodgers just stole a touchdown.

Again, it's not so much amazing that he is able to do that, as it is that no other QB ever seem to be able to.
I love that from Rodgers. So smart on so many levels.

That was Watson’s first catch of the game and his fourth touchdown in less than a week. On Sunday he powered Green Bay to an overtime victory over the Cowboys with three touchdowns and 107 yards on four catches.
Watching Rodgers make such a savvy play and his young receiver make such an exceptional play should give fans more to get excited about this season and beyond. If the team has any hope of turning things around for a playoff run, they’ll need the quarterback and his targets to keep connecting like that.
The Packers may have stolen a touchdown but the Titans stole an extra point by blocking Green Bay’s ensuing PAT. That kept Tennessee in front 7-6 in the second quarter.
Ryan Tannehill opened the scoring with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Dontrell Hilliard on a chilly night at Lambeau.
