Mike Ditka-themed bachelor party takes Atlanta by storm
By Rylie Smith
The Atlanta Falcons will have quite the crowd at their stadium with a group of men dressed as former Bears coach Mike Ditka.
The Atlanta Falcons are hosting the Chicago Bears for Week 11, and they’ll certainly have one of the most unique crowds as an entire bachelor party dressed like Mike Ditka shows up to cheer on the Bears.
There’s no denying that loyalty runs deep for NFL fans, and the Bears could use all the support they can get so far away from home. Though neither Chicago nor Atlanta are doing particularly well this season, the Falcons have a slight upper hand in this matchup.
The Falcons are currently 4-6 and sit second in the NFC South standings, just slightly below the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chicago, on the other hand, sit dead last in the NFC North going 3-7. The Falcons have the home-field advantage, but the Bears have Justin Fields, and now they have an entire bachelor party replicating the franchise’s former head coach, too.
At the very least, it’ll certainly bring good energy to the Bears as Ditka had such a notable career in Chicago.
Former Bears coach Mike Ditka had a notable career
Ditka had a career so great it landed him in the Hall of Fame in 1988, and he’s still one of the most important figures of the franchise’s history. He was a No. 1 draft pick for Chicago back in 1961, and he quickly proved his worth as a first round pick.
Over his 12-season career, he was named to five Pro Bowls and completed 427 receptions and 43 touchdowns over 5,812 yards. According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he ranked second among all tight ends at the time of his retirement after the 1972 season.
Though he was eventually traded from the Bears and continued with the Dallas Cowboys to help them win a Super Bowl, he came back to Chicago as a coach in 1982 and led them through many playoffs. He also helped Chicago win the Super Bowl during the 1985-86 season, still the only Super Bowl win in franchise history.
It’s understandable why an entire bachelor party would want to dress up as such a legendary player and go at a Bears game doing so.
