The Odell Beckham Jr. sweepstakes are on, and Jay Glazer revealed the two likely front-runners expected to meet with him.

Odell Beckham Jr. won’t sign with a team until November is nearly wrapped-up according to reports on Sunday morning, but with a clearer timeline comes further news on what teams are closing in on acquiring his services.

According to Fox’s Jay Glazer, two teams already have visits scheduled with one of the biggest mid-season free agents in recent history: The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys:

“They’re going to be battling after that [Thanksgiving] game as well for the services of Odell Beckham Jr. Both teams are planning to bring him in for a visit, again, that week or two after Thanksgiving,” Glazer reported.

This is confirmation of what Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported on NFL.com earlier in the morning:

"“The Cowboys and Giants have emerged as two of the favorites to sign free-agent receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who plans to visit both NFC East rivals after this week’s Thanksgiving holiday, per sources.”"

Odell Beckham Jr. will have options in free agency

Glazer’s report adds to what ESPN’s Adam Schefter told us on Sunday morning regarding OBJ’s timeline and some teams that aren’t going to be in the running for him that perhaps once were. Schefter said that both the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams’ poor performance this season likely precludes them from acquiring Beckham.

OBJ, of course, has plenty of history with both the Cowboys and Giants. Beckham played with the Giants for the first five years of his career where he made a name for himself as a Pro Bowl receiver in his first three seasons.

Since the Cowboys are in the same division, he was on the team for 10 matchups against Dallas.

The Cowboys have aggressively courted Beckham via the media and presumably private talks as well. Schefter reported that there are already offers in line for OBJ, so at this point, it’s safe to assume that the Cowboys and Giants have probably made offers or at least talked about terms loosely with Beckham. If you’re one to read into Twitter activity, the Giants look like a legit possibility.

While they haven’t been mentioned, the Eagles are another NFC East team that could use his services. Only two receivers have accrued over 450 receiving yards so far this year. Tight end Dallas Goedert also has surpassed that mark.

Beckham seems to want somewhere he can compete, but also noted previously that he wants a multi-year deal, so he’ll be thinking about the next contract through multiple different scopes.
