When it comes to the worst quarterback performance of the week, look no further than Zach Wilson of the New York Jets.

On Sunday, the Jets had the chance to avenge their loss to the New England Patriots back in Week 8. New York’s defense did their part, holding New England to just three points in windy Foxboro. The issue is that New York’s offense couldn’t do much of anything, especially Wilson.

The second-year quarterback completed just nine passes for 77 yards…on 22 attempts. The Jets punted the ball more than Wilson completed passes with 10, one of which was returned by the Patriots for a game-winning touchdown with five seconds remaining in regulation.

Compare Wilson’s numbers to Mac Jones, who was playing in the same windy conditions, and completed 23-of-27 passes for 246 yards.

After the game, Wilson was asked whether he felt like he let the defense down, which he replied “no.” Not exactly the best of ways to endear himself to a Jets fanbase craving wins.

This performance was so bad, that fans and media members are clamoring for the Jets to bench him for Joe Flacco. Whatever the Jets may do, the front office might want to consider their quarterback options this offseason.
