NFC South – Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons sit second in the NFC South, just slightly behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a 5-6 record. The Falcons haven’t finished a season above .500 since the 2017-2018 season, and they certainly don’t seem equipped to over take a team that has Tom Brady as their starting quarterback.

Their defense isn’t nearly as strong as it could be, and that’s definitely an area they’ll have to focus on in the offseason. However, they’ve had many close games against some tough competitors and have won against some as well.

They have a fairly easy schedule through the rest of the season which should lead to wins against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints. Their matchup against the Arizona Cardinals is even and could easily go either way, and they’ll end the season with a division matchup against the Bucs.

The Buccaneers have also noticeably lost some steam compared to previous seasons and have played many close games. If they continue down this path, the Falcons could realistically end up on top.
