Did the Vikings accidentally honor a porn star in middle of blowout loss to Cowboys?

The Minnesota Vikings may have made a critical error in judgment during their 40-3 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday, and it had nothing to do with the play on the field.

Minnesota got clobbered by the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon, making way for a host of ‘overrated’ headlines on Monday morning. Yet, the final scoreline arguably wasn’t the biggest misfire on behalf of the Vikings franchise.

Per several photos on Twitter — and written about in a story by the New York Post — Minnesota may want to give their social media team a talking to.

In a salute to service members moment, a Vikings fan appeared to trick the organization into showcasing who they thought was a service member and fan of the team on the scoreboard.

The only problem? Well, it appears that ‘service member’ was actually adult film star Johnny Sins, if proven true.

Two separate photos from inside the stadium appear to show the Vikings making this unfortunate, yet hilarious flaw in judgement.

The tweet on the screen was also from a real person, evidently!

There does remain some skepticism as to whether or not the photograph is real, but perhaps that’s merely due to the fact most can’t believe this would get past the watchful eyes of any social media team, let alone one for an NFL franchise.

If the Vikings got duped, it distracts from a terrible loss

In a way, this should be a welcomed controversy for a Minnesota team that must look itself in the mirror. The Vikings were shellacked on Sunday, so much so that CBS broadcast the Steelers-Bengals second half in some markets. The contest was never close, despite being deemed the game of the week by most.

Does this make the Vikings pretenders? Well, their point differential suggests plenty of room for improvement.

Minnesota lost the No. 1 seed this week, though they’re still likely to win the NFC North. Despite that point differential, most would consider it a successful season.

Next. Packers’ time is up, Vikings-Cowboys reaction and more. dark
