NFL hot seat watch, Week 12: Who is feeling the heat?

The Denver Broncos may drag this thing out, but they should go one-and-done
There is not really much else to say about the job Nathaniel Hackett is doing in this first year with the Denver Broncos. Although the Waltons may not punt on the first-time head coach after only one season, keep in mind that he was hired by general manager George Paton before they bought the team. All the while, the Broncos continue to be one of the worst teams in the entire league.
While Lovie Smith, Dennis Allen of the New Orleans Saints and Josh McDaniels of the Las Vegas Raiders all have varying degrees of one-and-done potential, Hackett takes the cake amongst all of them. His team’s losses have been especially painful, magnified by many of them being in major standalone windows. Regardless, it is not working out in Denver and everyone with eyes knows it.
The Waltons may give Hackett a second season, but nothing leads us to believe this will improve.
The Arizona Cardinals have to accept that this is just no longer good enough
Not to say it was the final nail in the coffin, but Kliff Kingsbury’s Arizona Cardinals getting blown out by the division rival San Francisco 49ers down in Mexico City spoke volumes. Although the Los Angeles Rams are having the worst Super Bowl hangover of all time, Kingsbury does not carry anywhere close to the gravitas Sean McVay has leading the NFL’s defending championship team.
Factor in Kingsbury’s teams typically cooling off once the weather changes, college or pro, and you could understand why ownership might look to move on from its underperforming head coach. He may have received an extension this past offseason, but Arizona looks to be one of the several teams in the NFC that will be finishing below .500 and not even sniffing the postseason in January.
Kingsbury should be taking advantage of a down NFC West division, not being taken advantage of.
