The USMNT takes on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha, Qatar in a game that will determine which of the two advances out of Group B. Here’s how to watch the World Cup match.  

The United States plays their third match of the group stage at the World Cup on Tuesday against Iran in a do-or-die game that the Americans need to win.

A victory and the Americans would advance out of Group B and into the knockout stage after Iran defeated Wales 2-0 on Friday. The USMNT are coming off a scoreless draw against England.

“We’re proud, but our work’s not done,” USMNT manager Gregg Berhalter told reporters after the England match. “We have to win on Tuesday. We know five points get us in and we have to focus on the five points.”

The Americans control their own destiny at this point. Three points and they’re in. If, at the same time, England defeat Wales in their final game, the USMNT would finish second and advance to play the winner of Group A in the round of 16.

If England lose and the U.S. were to win, it would be the Americans who would finish first in Group B (and England second). In that case, the United States would face the runners-up in Group A in the round of 16.
