LSU head coach Brian Kelly took a beating on Twitter over the Tigers’ blowout loss to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.
There was a very slim chance LSU would be able to upset Georgia in the SEC title game. Their hopes of pulling that off evaporated pretty quickly after the Bulldogs returned a blocked kick for a touchdown, scored after an unbelievably fortunate interception and knocked Tiger quarterback Jayden Daniels out of the game.
LSU tried to rally in the second half but it felt more like Georgia playing with their food than an actual comeback possibility.
Knowing the uphill battle that Brian Kelly and his team faced, Twitter was extra harsh on the head coach for all the ways his team made it even harder on themselves.

LSU has a season worth of film on Georgia's defense and said 'let's run it out the shotgun on 4th and inches'

It was a strange game from a Georgia perspective, aside from being able to troll Kelly. The Bulldogs dominated the game but they also let LSU’s offense move the ball like no one had all season.
After that TD pass, #LSU is outgaining Georgia 521-513.

College football is weird.
Most points Georgia had given up this season: 22 (Missouri and Kent State)

LSU has 30.
Most yards Georgia had given up this season: 371.
LSU has 521.
To LSU’s credit, they didn’t fold as badly as they could have.
In the end, it didn’t matter how hard the Tigers fought. Georgia won the game running away and punched their ticket to the College Football Playoff.

Pretty mean of Georgia to crush LSU's hopes before halftime, and then decide to give the Tigers hope again so they could crush their spirit one more time.

Kirby going reverse WR pass for a 2-point conversion up 25 points in the fourth.

Who at LSU pissed him off?
I think we can all agree the SEC is the best conference in college football.

Georgia has been so far ahead of the rest of the SEC this season it's scary.
Now up 50-23 on LSU.
Kelly found out how difficult it is to win in the SEC, particularly when competing with the top teams for the conference title. He’s going to have to spend the offseason trying to figure out how to get his team to the next level. Right now, it’s Georgia and it’s everyone else.
