England vs. Senegal live stream World Cup 2022 round of 16 on Dec. 4
England take on Senegal in the round of 16 at the World Cup on Sunday, Dec. 4 at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar. Here’s how to watch.
England will play Senegal in the round of 16 on Sunday in a match between two sides who have never met each other at a World Cup.
The Three Lions, winners of Group B, face the defending African champions in what is expected to be a very exciting encounter.
England outscored their three opening round opponents 9-2, but the team’s best striker, Tottenham’s Harry Kane, has not yet scored.
Aliou Cisse’s Lions of Teranga, meanwhile, recovered from their opening defeat to the Netherlands to pick up wins against Qatar and Ecuador to grab a spot into the knockout round. They have also proven to be competitive despite an injury to star striker Sadio Mane who has been sidelined at this tournament.
While the two sides have never played at a World Cup, England has faced stiffed competition from African nations in the past.
In what is now considered an iconic clash, England faced upstart Cameroon at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, beating them 3-2 in extra time during the quarterfinals.
